About John

Changing careers, changing provinces, changing perspectives

A former high school teacher for 25 years, John decided to leave the indoor classroom behind and pursue a new career in dog care. In November of 2017, he made the move out to beautiful Eagle Bay, BC .

John is a certified Canine Specialist and opened up John’s Pampered Pets to provide a safe place to socialize and care for dogs. It has since grown, through the support of the community, into the place to go for quality pet nutrition, health care products, toys, and supplies in Blind Bay and the surrounding areas.

Active in the community, John has joined the Eagle Bay Fire Department, Eagle Bay Hamsters Theatre Group, and the Shuswap Men’s Chorus and Shuswap Singers in Salmon Arm. The Shuswap community has been exceptionally supportive and welcoming.

What a great place to enjoy a dog’s life!
